THE STORY

A day at Mas Sant Llei

Gemma and Jean celebrated their wedding in Spain, at Mas Sant Llei. The secular ceremony, the newlyweds' exit, the drinks reception and the evening all took place in the same spot, among old stone, greenery and gardens. Before the ceremony, I was with each of them: Gemma surrounded by her friends, Jean buttoning his jacket. Then the vintage car arrived. I'll let you discover their day.

A secular ceremony in the courtyard of the mas

The guests had taken their seats in a stone courtyard draped in greenery, in front of an arch of white flowers. Jean came in through the great gate, then Gemma arrived in a vintage car and walked up the white aisle. Their loved ones spoke, there was a lot of laughter, then the exchange of rings, the kiss and the signatures.

The exit and the drinks reception

At the exit, petals flew in every direction, then glasses were raised at the drinks reception. We then slipped away for the couple photos: by the vintage car, on the grand staircase, in the gardens and in front of the fountain, in the evening light. Gemma's long veil did the rest.

An evening under chandeliers

Gemma and Jean entered the hall as napkins spun in the air. There were the speeches, the cake cut together among the sparklers, then the first dance. Their civil wedding, in Lausanne, has its own story.
