THE STORY

From La Palud to the Morges quays

Maëlys and Maxime got married at Lausanne's Hôtel de Ville, on Place de la Palud. After the exit under soap bubbles, we drove to Morges for their couple photos in Parc de l'Indépendance, also known as the tulip park. Between the bandstand, the quays and the harbour, everything wore the colours of autumn. The day went on at the Casino de Morges, with the group photos and the evening.

The civil ceremony at La Palud

In the wood-panelled room of the Hôtel de Ville, everything goes very quickly. Within a few minutes come the rings, the signatures and the first kiss. I stay close to the couple, so as not to miss a look or a laugh. For the paperwork in the canton, the Vaud civil registry will guide you.

In Morges, Parc de l'Indépendance runs along Lake Geneva, a stone's throw from the castle. In a few steps you go from the bandstand to the tall trees, then to the waterside promenade. Maëlys and Maxime posed there late in the day, when the light turns golden.
