THE STORY
A civil wedding at Vevey town hall
Leonora and Mersim got married in Vevey, at the civil registry, in the wood-panelled room of the Hôtel de Ville. Outside, their loved ones were waiting on the steps to applaud them. We stayed there for the group photos, then for a few portraits of the two of them in front of the façade, all decorated for the holidays. I'll let you discover their day.

The civil ceremony at the Hôtel de Ville
The wedding room in Vevey has an old-world charm, with its dark wood panelling, the engravings on its walls and its leather armchairs. The vows, the signatures and the first kiss follow one another within a few minutes. I photograph them discreetly, without drawing attention. For the paperwork in the canton, the Vaud civil registry will guide you.

Outside, family and friends applauded the couple on the steps. There were hugs, then the big group photo in front of the Hôtel de Ville façade. I take the time to place everyone, so that everybody can be seen in the picture.

I looked for no other setting than this carved wooden door, these stone steps and those lit windows. Leonora and Mersim posed there together, close up and from afar, for a few very elegant portraits.
